Making the Perfect Event Outline
Once you have brainstormed all of your programming, it’s time to make your outline! The easiest thing to do is follow the rubric provided below. When writing your event outline, make sure you put full detail into everything. This is important because if you or another planner weren’t able to lead the event for any reason, another BBG or AZA would be able to lead the event. Putting things in an outline can help see how much time you need for each program how you want each program to play out.
Things to keep in mind:
-Always start your event at least 20 minutes after the scheduled start time to allow time for people to arrive.
-For every Saturday event make sure you set 20-25 minutes for Havdallah, as well as at least 40 minutes for dinner.
-It is important to set 5 minutes for Birkat after dinner.
-Every event should include 10 minutes to clean up after programming and dinner!
-Every event should include 5 minutes to pay for the event
-Keep in mind the mood setting of programs- try not to have a serious program and then a really chill program. The last thing you want is to have an event rollercoaster.
Don’t forget to include:
-Title, date, and the planner(s) of the event
-The time from when each program of the event starts and ends
-The detailed description of each program
-A supply list
